Luiza gets LC ,admission confirmed

“I am excited to go to St.Xavier’s,my new college and all the credit goes to Asian Age“, said an elated Luiza Lobo after she finally got the LC(leaving certificate) from her former K.K.V college.
Today afternoon,A.B Mule,principal, K.K.V college handed over the LC to Luiza.Mule apparently dropped all the conditions and blackmailing terms he had asked Luiza to submit in her application few days ago.All this happened due to the persistent highlighting of the issue in the Asian Age and a strict action by the Bhandup police station.
Sources reveal when Luiza went to collect her certificate to the college,the principal requested her not to pursue the matter.Meanwhile an officer from Bhandup police station called him and asked them to come to the police station.Wherein there Mule was told not to throw his weight around anymore as a principal and grant Luiza the certificate as soon as possible after completing all necessary formalities.Souces from Bhandup police station reveal that due to highlighting of the issue last week,the concerned official was pressurised to take prompt action in this case..
Luiza told The Asian Age,“At the police station ,both statements were recorded and we were asked to sign a letter which stated that the matter has been resolved and that principal will hand me the certificate without any conditions.Now I just want a Xerox copy of the same to be safe in future.”
Inspector D.N Bhandkoli,Bhandup Police Station said, “Both the parties were called and they have gone in for mutual settlement.Nothing was forced upon anybody.Luiza wanted the LC and she has got it.”
Luiza’s mother remarked,“From past one month we were going through hell and never thought Luiza would get the LC.And we had thought she will have to give her studies due tour poor financial conditions.It is all due to my daughter’s sheer determination that she finally got what she deserved” and broke into tears.
Luiza further added,“I have submitted the certificate to Ronald Briganza ,St.Xavier’s Junior college and school,Kanjur Marg and will soon be attending college.Its been about a month since the incident. Now I feel satisfied that after fighting the matter eventually justice dawned on me.Now I just want to concentrate on my career,work hard and make my parents happy.I would like to fulfill their all wishes as they have struggled very hard to bring us up.”
September 18,2002:The Asian Age first highlighted the story of Luiza Lobo(18), F.Y.J.C student of K.K.V Junior College,Bhandup assaulted and badly beaten on her hands by college principal, A.B Mule with dandia sticks allegedly for wearing jeans to the college on September 3,2002.When contacted the principal admitted to the beating and felt that there was nothing wrong in it.
September 20,2002:The Asian age followed the story with a group of students of K.K.V college approached the correspondent to express their sincerity with Luiza and helplessness at the hands of principal alleging “We were threatened by the principal to say on the electronic media on 18th September after the Asian age story that Luiza was wrong and he was right”.Luiza further confirmed these students confided in her that the principal had forcibly taken signatures against me.
September 22,2002:It was published that though Luiza got admission in St.Xavier’s Junior high school and college ,Kanjur Marg but KKV college principal once again started harassing and blackmailing her for issuing her the leaving certificate.He asked her to submit an application mentioning that beating incident between them did not take place and they have good relations.He also wanted Luiza to apologise in writing and withdraw all her complaints and comments given to the press,police and other authorities.
